Anton Pavlovsky was born in 1985 in Ufa,Russia. He graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (2008) and completing his postgraduate studies (2011) under Professor Natalia Shahovskaya. Anton has played in masterclasses for Mstislav Rostropovich, Daniel Shafran, Mikhail Khomitser, David Geringas, Lluis Claret, Dmitry Ferschtmann, Eberhard Finke.

Anton Pavlovsky won his first Gran Prix at the age of 14 in 1999 at the M. and L. Rostropovich Open Competition.

Anton has been a prize-winner at numerous international music competitions, among them the 58th Prague Spring International Music Competition, 5th UNISA International String Competition, 1st International Kozolupov cello competition,

The season of 2013-2014 was marked by his successful debut at the famous concert hall “Concertgebouw” in Amsterdam.

As a soloist Anton Pavlovsky performs with many orchestras including the Prague Symphony Orchestra, Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Staatsorchester Braunschweig, Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Svetlanov Russian State Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic of Russia, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestrа, Saint Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra, National Philharmonic orchestra of Ukraine.

The young musician plays a lot of chamber concerts. He has recently performed along with such remarkable musicians as Sergei Leiferkus,David Geringas, Semyon Skigin,Lilya Zilberstein,Nikita Boriso-Glebsky, Hayk Kazazyan and others.

The cellist gives frequent recitals in Russia and throughout Europe, Asia and the CIS, and his name has featured on the playbills of such major music festivals as Kronberg Cello Festival, Festival International de Colmar, “The Virtuosos of the Planet” (Kiev), Musical Olimpus Festival (Saint Petersburg).

From 2004 to 2008 he was a cellist in the Russian National Orchestra. From 2008 to 2010 Mr.Pavlovsky was the principal cellist in the «Russian Philharmonic» Moscow City Symphony orchestra. From 2010 to 2012 Anton was the co-principal cellist in the National Philharmonic of Russia.
In 2012 he was offered the position of the Principal cello at the Svetlanov State symphony orchestra under the Artistic direction of Vladimir Jurowski.

The cellist performed in some major concert halls of Moscow, some Russian cities, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, Switzerland, France, Norway and Belgium.

Since 2010 he has been working at the Moscow Conservatory, in addition he gives master classes in different Russian cities.

In December 2012 Anton Pavlovsky presented his thesis “Cello concert of the XXth century”.

In 2015 Anton gained his master’s degree at the Gnesin's Russian Academy of Music (opera and symphony conducting mentored by Prof. Vladimir Fedoseev). He also studied conducting with prof.Vladimir Ponkin and prof. Valery Platonov. He participated in a conducting master class with Teodor Currentzis. In November 2015 he made debut as a conductor at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre (“Cinderella” by Jules Massenet).
